Cyber Summer School

As schools and districts ponder how they should approach education come fall, some learners are taking matters into their own hands when it comes to finding learning opportunities this summer. Many of the learners are adult aged and are learning new skills to either procure employment or teach to their children so that they can continue to make academic progress. In our Pre-Algebra for Parents series we teach the math skills that parents need in order to support their children in preparing for higher level mathematics. Check it out yourself or share it with someone you think may benefit from it. Shown below is our latest lesson on working with percents.

In the debate on whether or not there will be in-person learning come fall, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recently released guidance the issue. They advocate beginning the school year with in-person learning. The AAP indicates that the possible harm that students may experience from being out of school does not outweigh the benefits of remote learning. Read the entire guidance from the AAP here at https://services.aap.org/en/pages/2019-novel-coronavirus-covid-19-infections/clinical-guidance/covid-19-planning-considerations-return-to-in-person-education-in-schools/.

In order to prevent what's being called the "covid slide" make sure to continue your summer learning with us. Here's another lesson from our Pre-Algebra for Parents course just to get you going.
